The breathing techniques REALLY worked and it helped me stay calm. My husband the coach made sure
I didn't tense my shoulders. He was there with a cold damp wash cloth the whole time which felt really good

If you are expecting your first child, you might think you know what you are getting into.  But until you take a childbirth class like Lilly Meehan's, you really have no idea.  

Luckily, Lilly is there for you.  Classes are held in her home in East Ventura and you are immediately welcomed with open arms.  She's a very good, very knowledgeable teacher who is very passionate about her work and you can tell how much she cares for the couples that attend her classes. 

Her classes, for the most part, are eight weeks long and cover a broad range of topics including the physical changes, the emotional changes, the coaching for us partners, the breathing and relaxation for the ladies, breastfeeding and post-partum and so much more.  She arms you with a ton of information so that you can be as ready as you can be throughout your pregnancy and beyond.  

The class sizes are small - there were six couples in our group - so it's a pretty personal experience.  The cost was reasonable at $125 for the six weeks.  And each week one of the couples brings snacks for the entire class so we had cupcakes and cookies and brownies and pie and of course, milk.  Lots of milk.  

You know, I read a lot of what she had to say in the books that we bought, but there were quite a few topics that she covered that either weren't in the
books or I breezed by because I didn't understand the importance.  Going to a class and learning these things from a strong teacher and meeting other couples who are right there with you gives you something that you just can't get from the books.  It really brings it home - I feel so much more prepared
than I did before taking the class.  Thanks Lilly!

I  had the pleasure of attending Lilly's Birth Preparation course as my sisters partner. Lilly's
classes helped prepare us for our upcoming birth and made us feel at ease in a stressful but
exciting time in our lives. Each class taught us the stages of pregnancy and helped us
understand what the mothers were going through.  We learned skills to keep the mothers in a

Lilly's class was just what we needed to help us prepare for our son's arrival.  We were so
nervous about everything and the Birthing Class dispelled many of the fears we had. She's
professional and personable! The techniques for labor were very valuable to us and really
made the difference.  We also took her Baby Care Basics class which helped us to have
the confidence needed to do the everyday tasks in caring for our child.  From
breastfeeding & bathing, to changing a diaper.... it's all there.  Also, we loved how
intimate the classes were... we were able to ask many questions and were happy to have
others there to share the experience with.  These classes are a must for a first time
mommy & daddy; and I know our son is happier for it because we're not stressed out.

Listen to this woman! She knows what she is talking about. Particularly listen when she
talks about being rested BEFORE you go into labor. It is truly exhausting!
